It is foolish and unnecessary for a person to go on in an angst-filled world because that person does not find enlightenment where they expect to find it.There are many false ideas and movements in the world.
In Enlightenment, there is no true failure. The failure lies in the person seeking enlightenment, and not attaining it, does not shed the old ideas that led them to their failures.
