The Heaviest Load to Bear

The heaviest load in life to bear, is that of unfulfilled potential.

When you start looking back on where you have been and where you are going on Life's journey, sooner or later you will come to the realization that you could have done more to fulfill your personal potential.

The more potential that you realize, the happier that your life becomes.

So, we must get busy and and utilize our unique gifts and talents and reap the rewards of having them. This is a component of being on the road to enlightenment.

Today is the day

Today is the day where you will do something for yourself. You will think outside of the box.

You will do something out of your comfort zone.

You will examine long-held thoughts and you will objectively examine them.

You will try a different path.

You will strengthen connections with people and things.

You will better your circumstances.

You will discipline yourself to do something different, and you will reap the rewards (no matter how big or small) of doing so.

When times are unsettled and strange

When times are unsettled and strange in our lives, often times we go back to the familiar and comforting things.

This in many cases can be a regressive step on the road to Enlightenment.

It is when we are out of our comfort zone that we rise to the occasion, conquer obstacles and achieve success.

It pays to retrospect and examine the unsettledness and strangeness of our life, and do something about it in a positive forward manner, instead of retreating back to comfort.

Love Yourself

When you are on the path to Enlightenment, one of the first steps that you must take, is to Love Yourself.

We can not like some of our traits, habits and actions, but it is imperative that we love ourselves.

From that foundation we can mature and grow, and have the capacity to love others.

The One Article of Faith

The most important article of Faith in your Life is Belief in Yourself.

If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will believe in you.

A belief in yourself will get you through bad times and tough stretches in your life.

A belief in yourself will create a happy life for you.

Letting Go -- Going With The Flow in the Currents of Life

Sometimes Life is like a big river. We struggle to paddle to where we want to go. Our efforts seem wasted and in vain. The current is strong.

Sometimes we just must let go. Oftentimes we find that the current takes us there faster than by our own efforts.

If your efforts are producing no results, rest and let go for a little while, and you might just end up at where you want to go. The currents of Life are strong.

How to Control Anxiety

Anxiety is the opposite of tranquility. Anxiety can be controlled in two ways.

It can be fought head-on with meditation and/or rationalization. We can talk ourselves out of our anxiety with a rational thinking process to show that our fears are unfounded. Most anxious fears are unfounded. Worry never produces anything.

The other way to fight anxiety, is complete distraction. Exercising our bodies will eliminate anxiety. Reading a good book or some sort of activity will relieve anxiety. Talking with other people will relieve anxiety.

When anxious thoughts persist, the best thing to do, is to move the body and interact with other people.

Being There For Our Circle -- Adding Significance to Our Life

We do not live in isolation. Our lives intersect many other lives. Some people are closer, and and some are in our circles at a distance.

Wherever people are in the proximity circles of our lives, we must offer altruistic service to them. We must be there for the people in our circle of life.

One of the easiest ways to add significance to one's own life, is to be significant in someone else's life.

Control Your Destiny

You do not have to sit back and accept whatever the events that Life throws at you.

You can control your own destiny.

The power is all within you, and it starts with controlling the negative impulses in your mind.

The two steps to controlling your own destiny, is to eliminate negative thoughts and eliminate procrastination.

Your destiny can be to your liking if you do that.

Differences Do Not Matter

The world is like a lotus pond filled with many varieties of the plant. There are blossoms of many different tints and hues.

Some are white, some pink, some blue, and some yellow. Some grow underwater. Others spread their leaves on the water. Others yet raise their leaves above the water.

Mankind has many differences as well. It is not the differences that matter. What matters is that despite our differences, we can all achieve enlightenment.

We Don't Have the Right To Inflict Our Bad Moods On Others

When we are in a bad mood, it is imperative that we take control of our thoughts and try to erase the bad mood.

We do not have the right to inflict our bad mood on others.

Plain and simple.

It is our responsibility to change our mood through meditation or exercise.

Don't Be A Nabob Of Negativity

Don't be a nabob of negativity.

Nothing sucks the joy of life more efficiently than a negative attitude.

Generally nabobs of negativity are hysterical, histrionic, hopeless hypochondriacs who do not understand that life is lived by moments.

If you can garner just a joyful moment in an otherwise dull day, you have added significance to that day and not wasted it.

It doesn't matter what kind of mind you have ...

Among human beings, there are many different kinds and degrees of mind and intellect.

Some people are wise, while others are foolish.

Some people are good natured, while others are bad-tempered.

Some people are easily led and some are difficult to lead.

Some people possess pure minds, and others have minds that are defiled.

These differences are all negligible when one embarks on the road to Enlightenment.

Courage in Daily Living

When things seem bleak and hopeless, we must find the courage in daily living to see and feel the hope of the future.

We are marching to the future and on the conveyor of constant change.

Circumstances change, and courage in daily living is the ability to accept the knowledge that if things are bad or unpleasant for you today, they will change for the better tomorrow.
